Etosha National Park, Namibia

Etosha National Park, NamibiaEtosha is located in the Northwest of Namibia. Once upon a time Etosha was 100,000km², during which time, it was largest game reserve in the world but later reduced to 20,000km². Despite the redution in size, Etosha is one of Namibia's jewels and a popular tourist destination. If photography is a passion to you, do not miss this one.

"Etosha" meaning ("great white place of dry water") tells a true story of the salt pans which are located in the centre of Etosha National Park. The salt pan measures about 130km in length and at its widest is about 50km. Being mostly dry except for when the salt pans briefly fill in the summer months, there are also perennial springs. These attract various wildlife and birds such as Lions, Zebra, Giraffes, Gemsbok, Springbok, Wildebeest, Elephants, Jackals and the endangered Black Rhinoceros and the endemic Black-faced Impala.

Etosha National Park has a select number of luxury safari accommodations such as Onkoshi Tented Camp, Onguma Tented Camp, Namutoni Tented Camp, Eagle Tented Camp and Epacha Game Lodge for you to choose from. Most accommodations provide wildife game drives normally in the morning and late afternoon.
